The national funding bodies from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Estonia, France, Germany, Israel, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, South Korea, Spain and Türkiye have allocated funding for organisations collaborating on international R&D projects in the field of lightweighting.
We couldn’t be prouder to reveal that Ventures Thrive cohort one startup finalist VCG.AI recently secured a €2.5 million grant from EIC Accelerator. Spearheaded by Co-Founders Jon Goriup (CEO) and Mateja Dermastia (COO), VCG.AI participated in the first edition of the Ventures Thrive Growth Programme, benefitting from workshops, masterclasses, mentoring, and coaching sessions to enhance its investment readiness.
We're proud to reveal that cohort two semi-finalist FUNKI has just secured a €96,000 grant from SekMo - a grant programme headed by the Estonian Research Council - allowing them to welcome a new addition to the team. As a result, the startup will soon be introducing experienced researcher Kellen Zanfonato to their growing family.
Sift through our database of 30+ trailblazing startups making waves in an array of key sectors: from finance and greentech to health, energy, and everything in between. The Ventures Thrive Microsite displays all the companies that made it through the programme’s competitive application process, having set themselves apart through inimitable innovations, unique business strategies, and resilient teams.
From a total of 969 companies that submitted a full proposal, 347 companies were interviewed by juries of experienced investors and entrepreneurs. The jury then selected the 68 best companies to receive funding. Together, the selected companies will receive an estimated €411 million in funding.
The EIC and EIT have launched the 2025 edition of the European Prize for Women Innovators. This joint initiative celebrates the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs driving positive change for people and the planet through their innovative ventures. Applications close on 25th September 2024 at 5pm CET.
